About me

While I have been an artist all of my life, I delayed making art my profession until I had retired from the Navy and worked for several years for the Veteran's Administration as a social worker on their psychiatric ward. My previous professions have given me insight that I incorporate into my work.  I strongly believe that everything we do, informs everything we do. My experiences have shown me that everyone has value. Too often I have seen people and their contributions dismissed without being thoroughly explored and appreciated.  When I became an artist, I wanted to ensure that I didn’t make this same mistake with my materials.  In my art, I up-cycle vintage windows, frames, scrap glass, and found objects. I try to show people that items that were once discarded as having little value, can have beauty.
